Through words and song, Dr. Diane Cypkin tells Barbara Cook’s interesting and very human story, full of the “ups and downs” of life.

In the first act of her life, Barbara Cook (1927-2017) was a featured performer and the lead in many shows including Oklahoma, Carousel, Plain and Fancy, Candide, The King & I, She Loves Me, and Show Boat. She shot to Broadway stardom originating the role of Marian the Librarian, opposite Robert Preston in Meredith Willson’s The Music Man.  Through words and song, Dr. Diane Cypkin tells Cook’s interesting and very human story, full of the “ups and downs” of life.
