Join J.K. Hodge for a showing of La Strada (Italian). Produced in 1954, this film features Gelsomina, after she is purchased by a circus strongman, Zampano, to be his wife and partner. She loyally endures her husband’s coldness and abuse as they travel the Italian countryside performing together, but a circus fool has her contemplating leaving her husband. Spend an evening watching this Oscar Award winning film with subtitles. Registration required.
