This 8-week workshop is presented by experts at Stony Brook Hospital and centers around discussion and strategy to improve the quality of life in older adults.

Many older adults experience concerns about falling and restrict their activities. A Matter of Balance is an award-winning program designed to manage falls and increase activity levels. This program helps manage falls and the fear of falling using practical strategies such as viewing falls as controllable, setting goals for increasing activity, making changes to reduce fall risks at home, exercising to increase strength and balance. This 8-week workshop is presented by experts at Stony Brook Hospital and centers around discussion and strategy to improve the quality of life in older adults and is not intended an exercise class.  Please note, this class allows for a maximum of 14 participants; participants should enroll for the full 8-weeks.  Registration required.
